2003 Kia Sedona MiniVan - $1200 in Brantford, Ontario for sale

2003 Kia Sedona Minvan 141142 km ... asking $1200

In December my wife had trouble getting home as the van had lost power. I took it to a mechanic who told me it was a catalytic converter...without testing it in any way... and that there were three so it would need $3000 in repairs... BS! I then took it to another mechanic who tested the cats and said they were fine but that it was showing a misfire on cylinders 3 and 4...and wanted $1000 to give it a tune up.
Yea... I know...it did that when it got wet, but thanks anyway.

It runs fine but starts chugging when you step on the gas too hard. I believe it is the fuel filter (a $30 part?). I changed the front 3 spark plugs for giggles but that didn't help. The back 3 are inaccessible without removal of the intake manifold.

I tried to change the fuel filter but there are 6 screws on the top of the gas tank and 3 are seized and started to strip on me. It was FREEZING outside so I finally gave up and decided it was time to buy my wife something new to drive.

My lack of effort could be your reward!

What you will need to do if you buy this:
- try fixing the problem, most likely the fuel filter BUT I DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE
- replace the windshield as it has a crack along the bottom
- replace a couple of O2 sensors. It has never failed a drivetest with the sensors gone but the new drivetest makes it an automatic fail next time.
- anything else needed to certify

It does have plates and insurance currently so we can take it for a test run if you want to see what it is doing. YOU BETTER be a mechanic, mechanically inclined or really good friends with one if you want to take this van.
